The Physician and the Coder Meet

FairCode physicians meet daily with the hospital coders to present their recommendations.

Here is where the team demonstrates its synergies. Discussion develops between the physician and the coder about the changes that the physician recommends. The Coder has final say on whether a recommended change meets coding regulations. Often coding can be changed on the spot based on documentation that is revealed in the chart. In those instances where more information is required, the FairCode physician creates a query using our FairQuest® Query Software that is forwarded to the attending physician.
