HIPAA-Compliant, Secure Database

Using the hospital’s coding software and FairCode’s proprietary database, the physician will recommend coding assignments which result in more accurate DRG classifications. Our physicians have electronic access to reference material on our site that provides documentation of every recommended change that has been made in the past for the DRG in question. The DRG-specific tables are updated monthly to capture and share the collective experience of all our reviewing physicians.

Our HIPAA-compliant, secure database serves as a repository of the information collected from the record review, and the disposition of each recommendation.

At any time the client may review the individual chart data or the aggregated results. A library of standard reports is used by hospitals for quality improvement activities, physician education initiatives and assessment of financial performance. In addition, the data is exportable to standard formats, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat, for further analysis. Our client hospitals have full and real time access to all their data – critical in addressing documentation or coding issues as they emerge.
