Robin Kaplan

Dr. Robin Kaplan’s career encompasses a broad range of professional activity. He practiced pulmonary and critical care medicine in Reading, PA from 1980 to 1992. He subsequently served as Vice President, Medical Affairs of St. Joseph Medical Center in Reading. Among the accomplishments of his tenure as VPMA was the recruitment of key physicians and overall expansion of the medical staff, as well as the implementation of new clinical services, including an open-heart surgery program. Dr. Kaplan’s subsequent professional activities have included service in medical leadership roles at several managed care organizations. He has also served as a consultant in medical management and administration to several organizations, including self-insured employee benefit plans. Dr. Kaplan is currently a principal in the health care consultancy, FairCode Associates, LLC.

Dr. Kaplan received his undergraduate medical education at the Boston University School of Medicine. He completed an internal medicine internship at the San Francisco General Hospital and an internal medicine residency at the University of California, San Francisco. He subsequently completed a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at the University of Colorado.
