John C.S. Kepner

JOHN C.S. KEPNER has a lifetime of experience in the healthcare industry and now specializes in executive healthcare business advisory services to hospitals, health systems, physicians and physician groups, with a particular focus on clinical service line development and collaborative ventures with physicians and payors. Business development efforts highlight his primary role at FairCode Associates.

Mr. Kepner has over 30 years of business and legal experience. He served as a Senior Vice President for Strategic Initiatives and Network Development and in other executive positions at the University of Pennsylvania Health System from 1993 to 1999. While at Penn, he was the principal architect of the Health System’s network of physicians, community hospitals and several subspecialty physician ventures. During his legal career, Mr. Kepner was a Partner, Executive Committee member and Chair of the Business and Health Law Departments of Saul Ewing, LLP, a mid-Atlantic regional law firm. Mr. Kepner has spoken and written widely on healthcare topics, both business and legal, involving hospital/physician relationships. John is a graduate of Wesleyan University (B.A.) and the University of Pennsylvania Law School (J.D.).
